Union Communications was founded by Collin Gribbons in 1981 to fill a communications gap for unions and other progressive organizations.

At the time, unions had trouble making their views heard by the general public. Many did not have their own communications departments and had difficulty communicating with their own members. Before the widespread use of computers, Union Communications used this new technology to reduce costs and deliver results with greater speed and efficiency than had ever been possible.

Today, Union Communications continues to be Canada's only unionized accredited advertising agency. As computers have become more commonplace, we remain on the cutting edge of technology and use it to benefit our clients.
